Aileen Atkins is a partner at Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard, LLP, where she provides business, legal and strategic advisory services for a variety of digital media, software/technology, advertising and creative entities. Her practice includes structuring, negotiating and drafting all forms of business arrangements, including content and IP licensing, distribution, technology and marketing partnerships, corporate structure, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions  and employment, as well as providing general strategic advice related to structure, implementation and investment. As Sr. VP and General Counsel (and founding member) of both Napster and CinemaNow, and digital general counsel for Best Buy, she managed strategic negotiations and legal structure throughout each organization/division, as well as directly starting up and heading Napster’s University division as its GM. Atkins currently serves as a lead member of Music Biz’s business development workgroup.
