Bill got his start in the business when he founded NYC indie label Blackout! Records in 1989. Over the years he’s worked for Relativity, Caroline, Earache, and Atlantic, and has spent most of the last several years helping to reinvent the Music Business Association as VP of Digital Strategy, and working with partners such as Music Ally to create the NY:LON Connect conference and the Metadata Summit.
Today he runs his own boutique consulting firm, World's Forgotten Boy, LLC. where his main clients are The Music Business Association, remix clearance service Dubset, and metadata delivery platform OpenPlay. Most recently, Bill co-founded a music industry freelance/ side hustle platform http://indie.ninja.
