Carrie Colliton is the “Crew Chief” for Record Store Day, handling detail organization and the flow of information to the stores and the public. She has worked for indie record stores since college, and her day job is Director of Marketing for the Dept. of Record Stores, a coalition of indie record stores. The 21-year-old company, which traffics in all manner of physical media, has managed to adapt and grow its business in the age of the digital download.
